Peer teaching project (telecommunication and networking) Reflection

Week 13 Reflection

On the 25th of November we had our college national day celebration and we had also to present our presentation about telecommunication and networking. It was under the peer teaching project, it was really interesting to know about things that we use daily and how does it work. After this presentation I was able to know what computer network is and that it is the connection between two or more computers .in addition I have know a strong background about the types of networks such as the WAN,LAN,MAN,PAN,VPN,CAN,SAN. I was also able to know more about routers and it is a networking device that forwards packets between networks using information in protocol headers and forwarding tables to determine the best next router for each packet.

Finally and the most interesting part was the TCP/IP which is the communication protocol for communication between computers on the Internet. TCP/IP stands for Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol. TCP/IP defines how electronic devices (like computers) should be connected to the Internet, and how data should be transmitted between them.
